PETER G. PAPPAS, OF MACEDONIA, TEXAS.
BELL-HOLDER.
Application filed June a, 1919.
To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, PETER G. PAIPAS, a citizen of the Unite'd States, residing at Mace donia, in the county of Liberty, and State of Texas, have invented certain new and usein Bell-Holders, of which the following is a specification.
This invention relates to new and useful improvements in a bell holder.
One object of the invention is to provide a holder whereby a bell may be secured to the neck of an animal.
Another object of this inventionis to provide a holder of the character described, which will be permanent in use, and which will secure the bell against loss. A furtherfeature of the invention resides in the provision of adevice of the character described, which is be cheaply manufactured, and to which the bell may be readily secured and from which it may be easily detached.
With the above and other objects in view, the invention has particular relation to certain novel-features of construction, arrangement of parts and use, an example of which is given in this specification and illustrated in the accompanying drawings, wherein:
Figure 1, is a front showing the bell attached thereto, and
Fig. 2, shows a plan view of the bracket employed. 1 1
Referring now more particularly to the drawings wherein like numerals of reference designate similar parts in each of the figures, the numeral 1, refers to a yoke, which is Specification of Letters Patent.

formed of comparatively wide metal, and which is shaped'to fit the contour of the neck of the animal from which the bell is sus pended. To the ends of this yoke, the sus pending chains :2, 2, are attached, said chains depending from and being supported by the The lower ends of the chains are attached to the respective ends of the bracket 3. This bracket has a slot 4 therethrough, into which the hasp of the hell 6 extends, and a key 7 is fitted through orifices in the bracket and passes through the hasp 5, to hold the bell in position in the bracket. The holder is fitted over the neck of the animal, and the bell attached to the bracket in the obvious manner, and said bell in( y be readily a tached to ordetached from, said bracket, as above explained.
What I claim is: A bell holder, including a yoke, of fiat metal, curved to fit over the neck of an animal, suspending chains depending from the respective ends of said yoke, a bracket having a central slot therethrough, whose respective ends are upturned and fixed to the lower ends of the corresponding chains, said slot being provided to receive the hasp of a bell.' v
In testimony whereof I have signed my name to this specification in the presence of two subscribing witnesses.
