HENRY STOLTZ, OF EVANSVILLE, INDIANA ASSIGNOR TO EVANSVILLE FUR- NITURE COMPANY, OF SAME PLACE,
IMPROVEMENT IN INSECT-NET FRAMES.
Specification forming part of Letters Patent No. 130,163, (la ted August 6, 1872.
Specification describin g a- Fastening Device for Mosquito-Net Frames, invented by HENRY STOLTZ, Vanderburg county, State of Indiana.
Fastening Device for Mosquito-NetFrames.
' The object of my invention is aneconomical and readily-disconnected fastening for the uprights and cross-pieces of a mosquito-net frame for bedsteads, such as illustrated in the perspeotiye "iew, Figure 1; and I attain this object by the use of a simple spring strip or wire, A, (Fig. 2,) driven into or otherwise secured to the upright B at one end, and having at its opposite free end a hook, a, which overlaps and retains, upon a shoulder-and projection, b, of the said upright the eyes d, with which each of the cross-pieces O of the frame is provided.
In disconnecting the cross-pieces the spring A is pushed back into a recess, f,, of-.fthe upright, in order to withdraw its overlapping hook at from the eyes (I, the latter being then simply lifted from the projection b; and the said cross-pieces can be as readily connected to the upright on simply pushing back the spring and then releasing the same. The spring is retained within the recess f 0f the upright, when the cross-pieces of the frame are detached by means of a ferrule, h, with which the said upright is provided at its upper end.
