WILL IAM WILEY GARDNER, OF 'RUSSELLVILLE, KENTUCKY.
IMPROVEMENT IN MEDICAL COMPOUNDS FOR CURE OF COLIC, &c.
Specification forming part of Letters Patent No. 129,886, dated July 30, 1872.
' To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that I,- WILLIAM WILEY GARD- NER,& minister of the gospel, of the town of Russellville, in the county of Logan, in the State of Kentucky, have invented and perfected anew and original Medical Compound or Formula, designed for the cure of colic, especially in infants, to be designated and known as Gardners Colic-Drops for Infants; and I hereby declare that the following is a full and exact recipe of the ingredients and proportions used in said compound or formula, viz:
Calcined magnesia, two drains, apothecaries weight; essence of cinnamon, two drams,
apothecaries weight; essence of peppermint,
two drams, apothecaries weight; fluid extract of lettuce, two drams, apothecaries weight; tincture of camphor, two drains, apothecaries weight; tincture of asafetida, two drains,
apothecaries weight; sirup of rhubarb, arc.
