UNITED STATES PATENT 'QFFIOE.
FRIEDRIGK GOETSCH, OF BLOOMINGTON, ILLINOIS.
IMPROVEMENT IN MEDICAL COMPOUNDS.
. Specification forming part of Letters Patent No. 125,286, dated April 2,1872.
To all whom it may concern:
Beit known that I, Dr. FRIEDRIOK GoETsoH, of Bloomin gton, in the county ofMcLea-n and in the State ofIllinois, have invented a certain new and useful Medical Compound; and do hereby declare that the following is a full, clear, and exact description thereof.
My compound consists of the following ingredients, in about the following proportions: Aloes, four ounces Spanish saffron, one
ounce; German theriac, two ounces; rhubarb,
two ounces; myrrh, three ounces; bole Armenia, one and one-half ounce; angelica, two
ounces; arom. sulph. acid, one-half ounce;
spirit salts, one-half ounce; gentian, three ounces; dittany, three ounces; tormentilla, two ounces; camphor, one-half ounce; zedoari, two ounces; agaric, one ounce; castoreum, one-half ounce; elecampane, one ounce; pimpinella,two ounces; distlis,two ounces; chamzedrys, three ounces; French cogniac, two pounds.
I do not wish to confine myself to the precise proportions of the ingredients herein menwhat I claim as new, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is-- The within-described medical compound, consisting substantially of the ingredients herein set forth.
In testimony that I claim the foregoing I have hereunto set my hand this 31st day of January, 1872.
