and such cover may have inaddition a small clip 21 at the front edge of the same whereflanged ends 28 of the perforated shell 25.

As the moistening structure providing the humidor element is preferably carried on the inner face of the hinged rear wall 4, the space between the same and the front wall 1 of the container is designed to be just about large enough to receive a cigar box.

The bottom of the container may have a ledge or projection 30 disposed toward the frontand receiving non-scratching sounddeadening pads 31, with a rear leg 32 pivotally mounted at 33 and so constructed as to be held in position to elevate the whole structure at the desired angle, as shown in Fig.2, said leg having pads 34 of the same character as the pads 31 at the front of the structure, whereby the container or cabinet may be placed upon a counter without danger ofmarring the wood, glass or other material forming such counter.

In the "structure shown in Fig. 3, the original box 7 containing the vendible goods may be slipped into the containing shell or cabinet from the rear of the same, and the cover of such box, which is usually employed'as an advertising card, maybe removed and inserted into a glazed frame 10 situated beyond the container or cabinet and disposed in the plane of the open box. In this instance, said frame 10 as well as a cover 9 forthe container will be hinged to the latter on a common axis, indicated at 35.

The glazed cover 9 is liftable for the purpose of gaining access to the goods of the original package disposed within the container orcabinet, and the rear hinged wall 4 of the structure shown in Fig. 3, may be held in the closed position by the inner edge of the cover 10 engaging the same, as clearly shown at 15 in Fig. 3. As in the structure shown in Figs. 1 and 2, this cover 10 may be retained in the open position by a hook 16 hinged to the bottom of the container at 6 and engaging an eye 17 carried by said cover. Otherwise, the container shown in Flg. 3, maybe mounted and supported in substantially the same manner as the confied form of container substantially like that of Fig. 3, in which the container proper is provided with a cover 9 hinged at 35", which cover may be raised to gain access to the goods in the box 7 A glazed frame 10 is also hinged on the same axis as the cover 9 and held in the open position by a hook 16*. This frame l0 may carry the title card or other advertisement relating to the goods to be dispensed.

While the several structures are provided with glazed covers for the cigar box and other lids, these glazed covers collapse on top of the main structure when such containers are shipped, as indicated by dotted lines in certain of the views, so that the size of the containers in the knocked-down condition is no greater than ordinary containers which do not employ a glazed cover for receiving the box or other lids.

I claim:

-1. The combination, in a supplemental container for boxed goods, of a suitable inclosing shell, a pair of glazed covers hinged to said shell and foldable in substantially parallel relation over the same, one of said covers adapted to overlie vendible units in a box within said container while the other cover is adapted to overlie the cover of the inclosed box, and hinged means for supporting said supplemental container with its covers in their active positions, the box cover being held between said supporting means and the supplemental cover overlying the box cover.

2. The combination, in a supplemental container for boxed goods, of a skeleton metal shell having glazed side walls, a pair of glazed covers hinged to said shell and foldable in substantially, parallel relation to the same; one of said covers being adapted to overlie vendible units disposed in a box within said container while the other cover is adapted to overlie the cover of said inclosed box, and means for supporting said container in an inclined position with its covers in their active positions.

3. The combination, in a supplemental container for boxed goods, of a suitable inclosing shell, a pair of glass carrying frames forming covers hinged to said shell and foldable in substantially parallel relation to the same; one of said covers being adapted to overlie goods in a box disposed within said container while the other cover is arranged in substantially the same plane as the first and overlies the extended cover of said inclosed box, a rear wall hinged to the bottom of said supplemental container, and means for supporting the container in an inclined position and maintaining said rear wall in the closed position.

4. In a container for boxed goods, the comblnation of a receptacle or container comprising a skeleton shell of metal to receive asa na 3 an open box of goods to be vended and having glazed frames at the sides thereof, means for supporting the container at an angle with respect to a support or base upon which it may be mounted with the box of vendible goods disposed at the same angle, framed glass covers carried by the container in the same plane as the open face of the box and foldable in substantially parallel relation to the sauna; one of said glazed frames overly- 10 ing and supporting the extended cover of the contained box, and means for maintaining the glazed frame carrying said cover in the open position; the other cover being freely movable to gain access to the vendible units. 15
