The invention relates to folding tables and particularly to those which are adjustably supported on bracketed arms; and our im-A provement consists in providing a bracketed arm Iwhich may be adjustably supported upon a bed or chair or similar article of -furniture or upon the wall or'any flat surface adjacent to a bed or chair, said bracketed arm being provided with adjustable joints which hold the table firmly in position with the arm extended and at the same time providing for-the complete folding of the arm against the wall, bed or chair by mechanism which permits the quick return of the table to the horizontal position for use; and the inventionconsists in the novel features and combinations hereinafter set forth and claimed. The socket piece or union 39 isarranged with an opening 1n one en'd to attach the tubular arm section 22 therein and the other end hasone side open so as to pivotally attach by means of a pin or bolt 40 to the end of the angular section 23 to allow turning section 22 to the raised position. A yspring catch 41 is provided on the socket piece 39 which engages in an opening 42 near the end of the angular section 23 so as to hold the inter.

It is now apparent that the sec-tions of the folding bracket -arm may be quickly and easily assembled as hereinbefore described and the table 20 attached upon the pintle 27 by means of set screws 26, the adjustable hinge section 24 permitting attachment to a standard or bracketed pintle 54 or 55, the entire arm in its extended position being adjusted or leveled to the horizontal plane by means of the set screws 47 in the enlarged lower end ofthe portion 43 thereby holding the tubular yend of the angular section 23 firmly in position in said leveled alinement; and that the sections 21, 22 and 23 permit the folding of the table 20 into the different. positions illustrated in Figs. 1, 3 and 4, and when lso folded said table is entirely out of the way thereby preventingmarring or interference therewith yet is in convenient position for immediate use.
