siding at Rush, in the county of Marion and lState of Arkansas, has invented certain new and useful Improvements in Concentrating- Tables, of which the following is a specification. p

rl`his invention relates to' concentrating ta. bles and more particularly to an improved mounting therefor constructed in such manner that the table mayy be quickly and easily adjusted to a multiplicity of positions and agitated in any of such positions.

Further objects and advantages of the in?4 vention will be 'set forth in the detailed de'- scription which now follows.

Referring to the drawing, the numeral 5 designates a concentrating table of usual and well-known form having a'ribbed or tinted surface 6 and back 7. Extending longitudinally beneath the table 5 are a rear stringer 8, an intermediate Stringer 9 and a front Stringer 10. To aid in maintaining a proper alinement of the front edge of the table, the front Stringer 10 is provided with a turn-buckle truss 11. The rear'stringer 8 carries a pair of brackets 12 and transverse pivots 13 pass through the ears 14 of these brackets and through yokes 15. Longitudinal pivots 16 pass through the ears of these yokes and through the eyes 17 of threaded 'stems 18. These stems are engaged by sleeve-like nuts 19 carrying hand wheels 20. Stems 2l have threaded engagement with the lower ends of the sleeves 19, the stems 18 and 21 and the sleeve 19 constituting a turn-buckle-like structure. The lower ends of the stems 21 are provided with eyes 22 which are pivoted by longitudinal pivots 23 between the ears 24 of yokes 25 and these yokes are in turn pivoted by transverse rods 26 between the ears of bearing brackets 27 that are carried by a base 28. The rods 26 are mounted to turn in the brackets 27 and in brackets 29 and these rods, together with members 30, 31 and v32, constitute rocking Specification of Letters 17mm. l Patented July go, ,1918 Application led April 9, 1918. The upperfends of these rods are connected bylonO-itudinally extending pivots 36 to yokes 3l Vand these'yokes are in turn pivoted upon transverse pivotsy 38 to brackets 39 that are carried by the central Stringer 9.

Longitudinal reciprocation may be inipa-rted to the table through a 'connecting rod 40 that is lactuated by any suitable power head Ll1 that is mounted upon a base. The particular construction of this power head forms no part of this invention, devices of this nature being well-known in the art and constituting articlesof sale in thev open market. Y It ywill be observed that the present con-v struction is such as to provide elements that are adjustable as to length and Vthat are capable of rocking both longitudinally and laterally and that are capable of 'supporting thestable for reciprocating movement irre- Y, spective of what position the table may be shifted to. Since these members may be adj usted as to length at four different points beneath the table, it follows that any desired tilting movement in any direction may be Vimparted to the table and the table recipro- Y cated while being held so tilted.` It is t0 be noted that the engagement of the rods 35, with the table, is substantially in the transverse center of the table, with the result that the table and the material being operated upon will be substantially poised upon these rods. .Therefore the operator may very easily. and quickly adjust the table to any desired angle, because in effecting such adjustment he does not have to elevate the entire weight of the material upon the table and act against the weight of the table itself, because such weight is, as vbefore stated, poised or counter-balanced upon the rods 35.

It will further be observed that the rods 35 engage the table at some'distance in the rear of the front edge thereof, so that a slight adjustment of these rods will effect a considerable adjustment of the free edge of the table. f Y

While the elements shown and describedv are well adapted to serve the purposes for which they are intended, it is to be understood that the invention is not limited to the precise construction set forth but includes within its purview whatever changes fairly come within the spirit of the appended claims.

Having described my invention, what I claim is:

l. The combination with a concentrating table, of means for supporting the same for shakingmovement, comprising a pair of rocking supports having universal connection with said table at points adjacent the opposite ends thereof and substantially in the transverse center of said table, and a pair of. adjusting members the upper ends of .which have universal connection with said table at one edge thereof, and the lower ends of which are pivoted concentrically to the lowerends ofthe rocking support, and manually operable means for adjusting the length of said `adjusting members.

2. The combination with aiconcentrating table, a means for supporting the same for shaking movement, comprising a pair of transversely disposed rocking trusses, pivotal mounting; for the lower ends of said trusses, manually operable nuts supported uponsaid trusses, threaded stems passing through said nuts, universal connections between the upper ends ofsaid stems and the under side of the table at a point substantially in the transverse center of said table and vertically disposed adjusting elements comprising manually operable turn buckles, threaded stems engaged therewith, universal connections between the upper ends of said threaded stems and the lower side of' the table at the rear edge of the table, and a pivotal mounting for the lower ends of said stems in concentric relation to the pivotal mounting of said trusses.

3. The combination with a concentrating table, of means for 'supporting the same forl shaking movement, comprising a pair of transversely disposed rocking trusses, manually4 operable nuts supported upon said trusses, stems passing through said nuts, a universal ,connect-ion between 4the upper ends of said stems and the under side ofthe table ata point substantially in the transverse center of said table, the bottoms of said trusses comprising transverse rods, bearings inwhich the said .rods are pivoted, and vertically disposed adjusting elements comprisingmanually operable turn buckles, and upper and lower threaded stems engaged with said turn buckles, a universal connection between each ofA the upper `stems, and the rear `edge of the table and a universal connection between each of the lower stems and the transverse rods of the corresponding rocking truss.
