To all whom it may concern:

Be it known that I, EDWARD F. OTTO, a citizen of the United States, residing at Kenosha, in the county of Kenosha and 'State of Wisconsin, have invented certain new and useful Improvements 111 Toys, of

which the following is a specification.

This invention relates to toys and more particularly that class of toys known as seesaws which have figures mounted on the opposite ends of the teeter board.

The object of my invention is to produce a toy of the character named which can be easily set in motion and which when started will continue to move up and down automatically for a considerable length of time. 1 Other objects such as durability, simplicity, cheapness of manufacture, efiiciency and the general improvement of the art will be brought 'out in the following specification and claims; reference being had to the accompanying drawings in which like reference numerals designate like parts throughout the several views thereof: I Figure l is a perspective view of the whole device, Fig. 2 is a fragmentary side View partly in section, and Fig. 3 is a detail View of one of the ends of the teeter board showing a balancing weight in position.

The teeter board 7-has secured to its underside a bracket 8 which terminates in a knife edge 9 and a tongue 10 having a hole 11 formed therein. The knife edge rests in the slots 6 of the standards 2, and a spring 12 dctachably secured at one end, by means of the hook l t, in the hole 11 and at its other end to the cross bar 3 as at 13. Figures 15 are mounted on the opposite end of the teeter board, and weights l6are secured at its ends beneath said figures to establish an equi-poise or even balancing of the board.

1. A seesaw comprising .a base, standards on said base, a teeterboard pivoted on said standards by-a knife edge, and a spring connected to said knife edge and said base to provide a tension to facilitate the movement of said board. V I
