IMPROVEMENT 1N ANIMAL HOPPLES.
Specification forming part of Letters Patent No. 115,691, dated June 6, 1871.
To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, GEORGE LEE BRENT, of Gordonsville, in the county of Orange and State of Virginia, have invented'an Improved Animal Tether, which I denominate The Prairie Tether, and I do hereby declare the following to be a full and correct description of the same, reference being had to the accompanying drawing which is a perspective View .of the instrument.
G is attached to the central ring A, and, when the tether is on the horse, is furthest under him, the ring A being equidistant from his fore legs.
The tether can be applied in an instant, and when not in use can be clasped to the throatlatch under the neck, where it is quite ornamental and always at hand when needed.
Having thus fully described my invention, what I claim, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is-
A tether, composed of the ring A, straps B B, clasps O G, and rings D D, arranged and united in the manner and for the purpose specified.
