To accommodate the different sizes of bags used by consumers, a plurality of these holders are employed of a size according to the size of the bags. These holders may be supported in any suitable manner at the place or places of use and in convenient reach of the 7 user, for instance they may be strung upon a common rack or like support.

. We claim:

1. In a device of the class described, the combination of a frame, a member depending therefrom to form a receptacle for one end of a bunch of bags, etc., a bar capable of imovement in the arc of a circle, and springs connected with the ends of the bar and forming the sole support thereof, said springs normally holding the bar toward said receptacle.

2. In a device of the class described, the

combination of an inverted til-shaped receptacle to receive one end of a bunch of bags, etc, a frame secured thereto along its central longitudinal axis, a roller capable of a swinging and rocking movement and located within said receptacle, and a pair of springs which are pivoted at one of their ends to the frame and at the other of their ends directly to the ends of said roller, the springs forming the sole support for the roller. 3. In a device of the class described, the combination of a shell which is substantially U-shape in cross section, a frame secured to the shell along its central longitudinal axis, a roller located within the shell, and a pair of independent springs rotatably supporting the'opposite ends of the roller and secured to the frame to normally hold such roller to the innermost portion of the shell; substantially as described.

In a device of the class described, the combination of a shell which is substantially U-shaped in cross section, a bar positioned within the shell, independent springs connected with the ends of the bar and forming the sole support therefor, and a handle depending from the bar and connected with the opposite ends thereof.

6. In a device of the class described, the combination of a shell which is substantially U-shaped in cross section, a roller positioned within the shell and having screws 7 at its ends, and independent springs 6 connected to said screws and forming the sole support for the roller.

In a device of the class described, the combination of a shell which is substantially U-shape in cross section, a frame therefor comprising side pieces 2 secured at one end thereto and a cross piece 3 connecting the other ends of the side pieces, a roller positioned within the shell, and springs 6 secured at their upper ends to the frame and operatively connected at their lower ends to the roller to rotatably support the same and also to hold it Within the shell with a yielding pressure.

8.
