To all whom it may concern Be it known that I, ALEXANDER Y. CUN- NINGHAM, a citizen of the United States, re-

siding at Attleboro, in the county of Bristol and State of Massachusetts, have invented a new and useful Improvement in Natch- Holder Attachments for Bracelets, of which the following is a specification.

Ihis invention relates to certain new and useful improvements in watch holder attachments tor bracelets, and the primary object thereoi is to provide a holder which is formed oi spring material so as to be capable of being expanded to grip watches of slightly varying diameters, and to also effectively hold the watch by reason of the spring gripping action thereof.

A further object of the invention is to provide a holder which can be formed of a single piece of material, and which can also be fastened by mere bending so as to present various designs which are pleasing and attractive and which are consequently of ornamental value.

Still further the invention aims to provide a holder which is of simple and economical construction.

In the drawings-Figure 1 is a plan view of the invention. Fig. 2 is a section on the line 22 of Fig. 1. Fig. 3 is a similar view on the line 3-3 of Fig. 1.

In proceeding in accordance with the present invention, a piece of spring wire or the like is formed or bent into a plurality of arms 1, preferably four, presenting a cruciform arrangement. The arms are each composed oi two parallel spaced sides and have their free ends connected by the cross-pieces 2., which with the adjacent portions of the sides of the arms are curved to provide gripping parts or fingers which engage with the periphery of the watch to hold the latter on the front side faces of the arms. It will be apparent from Fig. 1 of the drawings that the adjacent sides of adjacent arms are connected by the curved parts 3, and that the parts 3 which connect the adjacent sides of the arms at the sides of the holder are bent outwardly and shaped to provide eyes 4 which latter receive the hooks or catches 6 on the ends of the bracelet 5. Various shapes may be given the arms 1 by merely bending same so as to produce varying ornamental etfects, as desired.

It is particularly to be noted that since the arms 1 are flexible, they can be easily moved so as to enable a watch to be engaged with and disengaged therefrom, and that watches of varying diameters, within reasonable bounds, can be engaged with the gripping fingers, and that further the fingers can be bent with the aid of pliers to snugly engage the watch so as to assure of the holding effectiveness of the fingers, as will be apparent.

The entire structure being formed or bent from a single piece of material, enables easy and economical production of the article.

Having thus described my invention, claim as new and desire to secure by Letters Patent;

1. In a watch holder attachment for bracelets, a holder composed of a piece of spring wire bent to form a series of spaced arms having spaced sides the free ends of which latter are connected and formed to provide watch gripping jaws, and connections between the arms, two of said connections being bent to form eyes to receive the ends of the bracelet.

2. In a watch holder attachment for bracelets, a holder having a series of spring jaws, and connections between the jaws, two of said connections being bent to form eyes to receive the ends of the bracelet.

3. In a watch holder attachment for brace lets, a piece of wire bent to form a plurality of arms having spaced sides, watch gripping parts connecting the sides of the arms, and a pair of eyes bent from the wire and disposed between two of the arms to engage the ends of the bracelet.

4. A watch holder attachment for bracelets formed of flexible wire to provide a series of spaced arms having watch gripping parts, and formed to provide a pair of bracelet end engaging parts located between two of the arms.

5. In a watch holder attachment for brace: lets, a holder constructed of spring wire and formed to have a multiplicity of radialjaws which emanate from a point central of holder, said jaws being connected so that the connections form a central seat for the watch, and means connected to the jaws to enable attachment of both ends of the bracelet to the holder;
