ISIDORE WEXLER, OF MINNEAPOLIS, MINNESOTA.
DESK-PAD CALENDAR.
Application filed June 19, 1914.
To all whom it may concern e it known that I, IsIDoRn WE xLnR, a citizen of the United States, residing at Minneapolis, in the county of Hennepin and State of llrlinnesota, have invented certain new and useful Improvements in Desk-Pad Calendars, of which the following is a specification.
My invention relates to desk pad calendars and has for its object to provide, in connection with a pad having sheets for each day of the month, means for indicating distinctively the day of the month in combination with an entire month calendar, which is always exposed.
It is a particular object of my invention to provide a calendar desk pad of the above character which can be cheaply and conveniently manufactured so that the same may be sold at a reasonable price.
The full objects and advantages of my invention will appear in connection with the detailed description thereof and are particularly pointed out in the claims.
In the drawings, illustrating the applica tion of my invention in one form,Figure l is a top plan view of a pad embodying my invention in which the second day of J anuary, 1914:, is indicated for the sheet. Fig. :2 is a similar plan in a succeeding week showing the tenth day of January indicated. Fig. 3 is a similar plan of a succeeding Week showing the fifteenth day of January indicated. Fig. 4 is a further plan showing the thirtyfirst day of January indicated. Fig. 5 is an edge view to illustrate a calendar for a year, the structure for several of the months being broken away.
As clearly indicated in the several figures, my pad comprises a series of sheets 10 corresponding in number to the number of days of the year, all of said sheets being divided into twelve groups corresponding to the several months of the year. Division sheets having index portions 11 exposed at the sides of the pad and bearing on said exposed portions the abbreviations of the names of the months are used to separate the several month groups and also to provide means for readily going ahead to any de- Specification of Letters Patent.

sired date for the purpose of making an entry, or for any other purpose. Each of the month groups comprises several series of sheets, each sheet of any given series being of exactly the same size and shape as that of every other sheet of the series. These several series of sheets correspond to the week divisions of the month, and the sheets of the succeeding-meek divisions are successively lengthened. All of the dates of the month up to the end of any week di- Vision are printed upon all of the sheets of that division in such manner that the dates of the week division of any given series appear upon the exposed portion of the sheets of that series. It thus follows that at any time the entire calendar of any month is before the user of the pad. The day of the month for which any given sheet stands is indicated by printing the date thereof in distinctive black type, all the other dates on the sheet being printed in lighter and, preferably, smaller type, so that the current date is readily distinguished.
I claim:
1. A desk pad calendar comprising a sheet for each day of the month, said sheets being divided into several series corresponding to the week divisions of the month, said several series being successively increased in length, and the dates of all of the days of the month up to the end of the week covered by each of the several series being printed on said sheets so that the dates of the week division appear on the exposed portion of the sheets of any series, the sheet corresponding to any date having that date printed thereon in distinctive type in its proper position relative to the other dates on said sheet.
2. A desk pad calendar comprising a sheet for each day of the year, said sheets being divided into groups corresponding with the several months and each of said groups being indexed with the name of the month appearing at the side of the several groups, the sheets of each month group being divided into several series corresponding to the week divisions of the month, said several series being successively increased in length, and the dates of all of the days of proper position relative to the other dates the month up to the end of the Week covon said sheet. 1; ered by each of the several series being In testimony whereof I aflix my signature printed on said sheets so that the dates of in presence of tWo Witnesses.
the Week division appear on the exposed ISIDORE WEXLER. portion of the sheets of any series, the sheet Witnesses:
,correspondingto any date having that date F. A. lVI-IITELEY,
printed thereon in distinctive type in its H. A. BOWMAN.
