IMPROVEMENT IN PIE-CASES.

The Schedule referred to in' these Letters Patent and making part-o! the same.

To all whom it may concern Be it known that I, HENRY H. OLDs, of New Ha-l ven, in the county of New Haven and State of Connecticut, have invented a new Improvement in Pie- Cases; and I do hereby declarethe following, when taken in connection with the accompanying drawing and the letters of reference marked thereon, to be a full, clear, and exact description of the same, and

which said drawing constitutes part of this'specication.

This invention relates to an improvement in cases used in pie-bakeriesA for receiving pies, and in which cases the pies are carried to dealers, the object being the construction of` aventilated case, and one which enables the dealer to see the kind of a pie in either drawer without taking it from the case; and

The invention consists in a'drawer formed from a dat piece of wood or otherv suitable material, in which a recess is formed to receive the pie-plate, combined with a net-work around the rear of the case, through which the pies canV be seen, and at the same time afford ventilation to the case.

By preference I make the inner or rear end of the.l drawers semicircular and the case corresponding, and` I close the rear by a net-work, C, of wire or other suitable materiai, through which the pies on the drawer may be seen, so as to distinguish the kind of pie in each drawer, this net-work at the same time affording a suicient ventilation for the case.

The pie-maker places the pies as ordered, into the case, leaving the case with the dealer, who, by means of the net-work, can distinguish the kinds of pies without opening the drawers, thus facilitating. the
