COIN-PURSE.
i,iiaise. l
Application led December 30, 1913. Serial-No. 809,527. l
To all whom t .may concern Be it known that I, CHARLES WALLER- s'rno'r, a citizen of the United States, resid* ing at St. Louis, in the State of Missouri, have invented certain new and useful Improvements in Coin-Purses; and li do hereby exact description o the invention, such as will enable others skilled in the art to which it appertains, to make and use the same, rei:-1 erenee being had to theaecompanying drawings, and to the lettersnnd figures of refthis specification.
` This invention relates to new and useful improvements inwristlet purses and consists essentially of apurse having a central sectional receptacle and folding wings, each provided with a pocket for the reception of a roin, the open faces 'of the opposite sides being so arranged as to securely hold the coins frictionally in place.
The invention comprises various details of construction and combinations and ar rangements of parts which will be hereinafter fully described, shown in the accent panying drawings and then specifically defined in the appended claims.
illustrate myinvention in the accompanying drawings, in Whieh Figure l is a perspective view of the device shown as applied to the wrist of a person. Fig. 2 -is a sectional View longitudinally through the same,.and Fig. 3 is a face opened out in the same plaeewith the eentra lv pocket.
Reference now being had to the details oi" designedto be fastened about the Wrist of a person, said strap having a widened portion l. A second strap, designated by letter C, has a central poi/tion C forming the bottom ot a central pocket'and said widened portion'of the strap C conforms tothe shape of the widened portion B of the strap A.
The .central pocket has a wall E With an opening E" therein and a tongue E2 pro.- jects from one edge of said opening and serves as a means for retaining the coin Within thepoeket. Pockets, designated hy.
strap C forming the backs thereof, While their opposite faces, designated by letter'K, are apertured at l for the reception of coins,
said apertures being of suiiieient sire to allow the particular size coin easilyy to pass therethrough. A glove fastening device is provided for holding the twoinner pockets folded one over the other and consists of a stud N in one end of the strap C, while the opposite end has a socket O for'the reception of said stud when the two pockets are folded in the manner shown in the drawings.
By the provision of a wristlet purse made in accordance with my invention, it will he noted-that .a simple and elicient device is provided whereby coins may be conveniently carried and made accessiblewhen the device is attached to the Wrist of a person, by
simply detaehing the fasteners and nnfolding one pocket or the other, the apertures being so arranged that the lingers of the person Wishing to Withdraw the .coin may conveniently grasp the marginal edge thereof and cause the coin tohe withdrawn from the pockets. When thepoekets one upon an" other are fastened, it will be noted that coins willhe securely held from losing from the pockets. I
What I claim to be new is A wrist purse comprising a strap having a widened portion, a pocket having a hottom which is held against said strap, the 'marginal edges of said bottom and the widened portion of the strap being flush, the outer face of the pocket having a curved outlet opening therein at one' side ot its transverse center, 'said bottom having oppositely disposed winged portions forming the bottomsof other pockets, and straps forming thefaces of said pockets upon the wings and provided withopenings intermediate the transverse central jparts of the pockets and the adjacent marginal edges thereof, theA closedportion of the front* wall of one pocket upon one Wing adapted to close the curved opening in the eentral pocket when.
