GRUMLLNG, oiGi-ant, county of Indiana and State of Pennsylvania, have invented a. new and usei'ul Improvement in` Hames und I do hereby declare that the following is a full, clear, and exact description thereof', which will enable others skilled in the alt to make and use the same, reference being had to the accompanying dra\v. .ing forming part of'this, specification.

lhis invention relates to a new device for locking the lower ends of hames together and to the collar,

The invention consists,1'st, in the use of a piroted loop, A, and spring lever B, which are, respectively,

Having thus described my invention,
I claim as ne'w and desire to secure by Letters Patent- I f 1. The arrangement, with respect to the linmes C C and lever B, of the rigid loop A, transversely pivoted and embracing `the front and back faces ot' both llames, as and for the purposes described.
