To all whom tmay concern Be it known that I, HUGH B. GRUMLLNG, oiGi-ant, county of Indiana and State of Pennsylvania, have invented a. new and usei'ul Improvement in` Hames und I do hereby declare that the following is a full, clear, and exact description thereof', which will enable others skilled in the alt to make and use the same, reference being had to the accompanying dra\v. .ing forming part of'this, specification.

lhis invention relates to a new device for locking the lower ends of hames together and to the collar,

for the same.

The invention consists,1'st, in the use of a piroted loop, A, and spring lever B, which are, respectively,

' and also to a novel adjustable draft-hook 'attachment -pivoted to the lower ends of the haines 0C, as'shown.

The lever B has two or more projecting hooks, a a, ln either one of which the loop can be looked to regu- .late thereby'the width ofthe coller.

Having thus described my invention,

I claim as ne'w and desire to secure by Letters Patent- I f 1. The arrangement, with respect to the linmes C C and lever B, of the rigid loop A, transversely pivoted and embracing `the front and back faces ot' both llames, as and for the purposes described.
