To all whom it may concern Be it known that I, CHARLES H. WILLIAMS, a citizen of the United States, residing at Edenton, in the county of" .Ghowan and State of North Carolina, haveinvented certain new and useful Improvements in Hair- Brush Comb-Cases,-ofwh1ch the following j is a specification.

This invention relates to brushes, and especially hair brushes for personal use, and

the invention pertains more particularly to a hair brush having means for carrying in I v certain parts thereof a removable comb, and various other articles, such as hair pins, cufl,

sleeve and collar buttons, and similar articles commonly used inpersonal attire and v for toilet purposes.

The object of the invention is to provide in a hair brush for personal use, nove l and peculiar means for holding a removable comb in the back of the-brush, and a spe- 1 vcially designed brush handle for holding various articles commonly used in making personal toilet.

Afurther object of the'invention is to pro,- vide a special keeper for looking a, comb 1n the back of a hair brush, and for-assisting in 5,, and the comb is locked o'r held in the slot the removal of the comb from the brush.

.Various other objects, advantages andimproved results are attainable in the practical application and use of the inventlon hereinafter to be fully described.

The brush consists of a body portion 1, and bristles 2, forming a brushing surface 3. The back of the brush has a longitudinal slot or cavity 4, therein for holding acomb by means of a keeper6, whichalsO' assists i in placing and removing the comb. f The keeper is preferably arc-shaped or of'such "comb, and adapted to shape asto conform with the shape ofthe outer end of the brush-back or body, and is provided with a pivot-ear 7, which is inserted in the edge of the brush-back adjacent the comb-slot, and is pivoted on a pin 8."
