The case B, which constitutes the handle, is hollow and open at one end, in which isa slot, 0, and in the closed end is a threaded opening or socket, s, for the reception of a threaded metal pin, I, projecting from a block, G, upon the end of the stem A. The stem carries the usual brush, and, with the latter,

Alug, J, on the block G, projecting through the slot e, not only prevents the stem from turning, but also afi'ords a means of readily withdrawing the stem by pressing opening 8, and slot 6, in combination with the brush-stem A, screw I, and projection J, all constructed and arranged substantially as set forth.
