IMPROVEMENT IN PAIL-EARS.

To enable those skilled in the art to make and use my invention, I now proceed to describe it; construction and operation. v r V r Similarletters in the drawing refer to like parts.
A pail-stave is shown at a.
b is the pail-ear, made of malleable or common sheet-iron, and scoured to -the stave by screws or nails at its lower end;
c c are the branches at the upper part of the ear;
(I is the eye of the bail, placcdbetwecn the branches; and
eis the pin or screw passing through the eye, and branches and top of pail.
There is a recess, h, in the car, to inclose the upper hoo 'Ehe car is located below the top of the pail, and is, therefore, not so liable to be knocked 011' as though it projected above.
The outer branch protects the eye of the bail, and renders the fastening more secure.
