The Schedule referred to in these Letters Patent and making part of the same To allwhom it may concern.-
Be it known that we, JOSEPH W. GILLESPIE and \VILLIAM Hoenns, of Alliance, in the State of Ohio, .have invented a, new and useful Combination of Grate- Front andf'Oven; and we do hereby declare that the following is afull, clear, and exact description of the same, reference being bad to the accompanying drawing and letters of reference marked thereon making a part of this specification, in which- Figure l is a front elevation.
This invention consists in the combination of a grate-frontor frame, such as is ordinarily used for supporting a grate for heating pnrposesf with an oven, to the end that the grate may also be made applicable to cooking.

B is the oven, placed above the grate and behindthe grate-front. I
The oven has a V-shaped bottom, which presents the least possible obstruction to the passage of products of combustion past it, and yet afiords sufficient space within. for holding articles to be cooked.
The oven is of less widththan the grate-front, so as to leave space for a flue at each side.
The oven-door is provided with orifices, through which air may enter from the room and pass out when heated. The orifices are supplied with aregister. I n this manner the oven supplies warmth to the room.
\Ve claim as our invention- The grate-front A, combined with the oven B, when the two parts'are so;connected as to formbnt a single article of manufacture, substantially as described.
