This invention relates to a receptacle placed in shops Where cutting Wastes are lying all over the lioors and which in many cases have caused lires, for the purpose of receiving the refuse of the above and of any character, in such a manner that it will not readily be scattered on the floors. Such a receptacle ia easily placed under the table where the ont ter stands, and after the cuttingr is done, the refuse is pushed down in the reeeptaclr, which closes automatically, and in this way a lire is avoided.

n object of this invention is to provide a refuse receptacle with a cover which can be readily opened for the purpose of deposit-- ing refuse therein, and with on auxiliary oor or cover which can be opened tor they purpose of removing the refuse from the rov ceptacle.

A further object of this invention lio provide a refuse receptacle with a cover which can be opened to place refuse in the receptacle, said cover being automatically closed.
