IMPROVEMENT IN LAMP-SHADE SUIPPORTBRS.

Description of the Accompanying Drawings. Figure 1 is a; perspective view of the lamp-shade.
Figure 2 is a view of the clasp spring.
General Description.
' A is the screen or fender, which may be made of paper or any other suitable material.
Near the upper edge of the screen A is attached the strip D; to this, at the middle of the screen, is attached the 'wire spring B, which is U-shaped in form, and has formed on one side the ring E, and is bent on the other side opposite the middle of the ring E, from the ring, as shown in figs. l and 2.
By this construction, the spring B will clasp itself upon one side of a lamp-chimney, and slide thereon, to adjust the shade at various heights.
The ring E series as a brace upon the inside of the chimney, to keep the shade from canting sideways.
Claim.
I claim a clasp spring, B, having formed on one side the ring E, and bent on the other side opposite the middle of the ring E, fi'om the ring, as herein shown and described, and for the purpose set forth. 1
