OVERALL-GARMENT.
Be it known that I, WILLIAM THOMAS CLIFFORD, a subject of the King of Great Britain, residing at Hollingswo-rth, Perouse Road, Randwick, near Sydney, in the State of New South Wales and Commonwealth of Australia, have invented a-new and useful Improvement in Overall-Garments, of which the following is a specification.
This invention refers to over-all garments worn by tradesmen as a protection to their ordinary garments and has been specially devised in order to provide an improved overall garment of such character that may be readily applied and removed and be particularly suitable for use by shop salesmen though it may be advantageously used by allother persons desiring to protect their garments while at work.
An improved over-all garment according toned or fastened to the other or say the underlap side of said body portion; The apron. portions of the over-all may each have convenient pockets and the body portion may. have sleeves or be sleeveless as desired. The apron could be attached or be a continuation of the underlap side of the body and in this construction it would have to underlap the overlap side of the body and 1 would therefore not be so convenient as the preferred construction described above.
.Having now fully described and ascertain'ed my said invention and the manner in which it is to be performed I declare that what I claim is i In an overall garment, in combination, an upper body portion adapted to meet and fasten in the front, and a lower apr0nfportion'adapted to extend across the front of said body portion adjacent its lower edge,
one side of said apron portion being permanently secured to said body portion at one side of the center thereof, and means for detachably fastening the other side of said apron to said body portion at the other side 0 the center thereof.
