This invention relates to a combination dress and apron, and its object is to provide a dress with a protecting apron ordinarily of the same kind of goods,v to give a uniform appearance, which is secured to the dress but which may be detached therefrom, enabling the .dress to -be worn without the apronwithout materially altering' the appearance of the dress.

The'. apron is also of such a nature as to enable it to be separately worn with other dresses if that is desired. Other objects ofthe invention will be ap parent as the description proceeds. An embodiment of the invention is shown in the accompanying drawings in which the same reference numeral is applied toV the same portion throughout the several figures of the drawings andof which there may be modifications.

Figure 1 is a front elevation of the dress and apron as shown secured together, Figure 2 is a back view of the dress and apron showing the back of the apron collar and'the apron strings, and,

Figure 3 is a back view of the apron sepa- Figure 4 isfa front elevation ofthe dress and apron with the apron secured in place in a slightly vc lierentfmanner. shown in Figs. 1 to 3, theA dressfastening's being so fplaced as to be concealed from view.

The numeral 1 indicates the body ofthe dress-and its pattern may be of any' .desired form. At the top of the dress it has an opening through which the head may be passed, and it r's .provided with short sleeves The apron has a lower portion and it has a bib -portion' with 'an opening through which..the head can be passed, and saidbib is secured to the yoke portion'of the dress by means of three snaps fasteners 6, 7 and 8, the dress having similar receiving fasteners placed thereon'.

'The apron strings are for the purpose of securing the apron to the body of the wearer when vother .dresses than' the present dress are used, in which event the fasteners 11 are out of use.

.The numeral indicates a dress of substantially ythe same character as that shown at 1 in the other gures, except that the dress has two pockets 21 and 22.
