the usual opening 16, which receives the end stud of the roller. This shade roller support has tongues or projections 17, to hook over the edges of the plate 3, in order to hold the shade roller support upon the plate. These tongues or projections not only er form this function, but also act as gui ing means for the shade roller support. The
To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that I WILLIAM PERRY MAR- QUIS, a citizen of the nited States, residing at Central City, in I e county of Merrie and State of Nebrask ave invented a new and useful Curtain= tire, of which the following is a specifi This invention perta 1' to a new and useful combination curtain fixture, adapted extreme ends of these tongues or pro e ctions for supporting a curtain pole, and a shade are bent at an angle, so as to ermit the roller. shade roller support to be rocke upon the elongated plate. In re-adjusting the shade roller sup ort, the same may engage one or another 0 the teeth. The end 18 of the plate One object of the invention is to construct the supporting means for the shade roller, in such a manner, that the same may be adjusted readily, to accommodate shade roll- 3 is supplied with a socket 19, in which s ers of various lengths. supported the curtain rod support 20. This Other features and combinations of parts curtain rod support comprises a single length of wire, of sufiicient rigidity to withstand the weight and strain of the curtain and the rod. This length of wire 21 is provided with a vertical portion 22, to penetrate the curtain rod, and the horizontal portion'23, which merges into the angularly arranged portion 24. This portion 24 terminates into the vertical portion 25, which is received in said socket, there being a small horizontal portion 26 between the vertical portion 25 and the angularly arranged portion.
The invention having been set forth, what is claimed as new and useful is:
In a fixture of the character described, a shade bracket carryin plate, having a slot longitudinally dispose at one end, two cars formed integral with the respective ends of the plate and extending from the opposite ends of the bracket, a slide provided with a T-sha ed head of lesser len th than the slot but 0 greater length than t e width of said slot adapted to enter said slot and be turned so that its body and head parallel the ears, and form a sliding member of a wi dow frame engaging clamp, and a screw mounted in one ear of the plate and connected with said slide for causing the slide to coaot with the other car of the plate to form a clamp.
In testimony that I claim the foregoing as m own, I have hereto aifixed my signature in the presence of two witnesses.

drawings, and claimed.
In the drawings, Figure 1 is a front elevation of a portion of a Window frame, showing the two fixtures applied thereto. Fig. 2 is a sectional view on line 2-2 of Fig. 1, taken slightly above the curtain rod. Fig. 3 is an enlarged detail perspective view of one of the fixtures removed from the window frame. Fig. 4 is a detail view of the means for holding the shade roller brackets at adjustment.
In regard to the drawings, 1 denotes a window frame, upon each side 2 of which a fixture 3 is arranged. These fixtures are arranged at the top of the window frame, as
The fixtures comprise an elongated strip of metal 3, each end of which is bent at right angles, as indicated at 4, in order to provide the ears 5. Between one of these ears and a movable slide 6 the window rame is clamped. The slide 6 has swiveled to it an adjustable screw 7 which is threaded into one of the said ears. By rotating this screw in one direction or the other, the slide may be moved laterally in either direction. The slide is provided with a forwardly extending portion 9, which is formed with a nar row neck 10, which is desi ned to move in the slot 11, of the elongated plate 2.
Upon the face 12 of the elongated plate, adjacent each side thereof, the plate 3 is rovided with ratchet teeth 13. These ratchet teeth are designed to be cooperated with by a movable shade roller support 14. This shade roller support is provided with copies or this patent may be obtained for five cents each, by addressing the commissioner or intents, Washington, D. 0."
