T o all whom it 'may concern:
Be it known that I, GEORGE R. G. JONES, in lthe county of Shelby and State ot' Tennessee, have invented a new and useful Device to be attached to any kind ofRocking-Chair or Cradle and 1 do hereby dey clare that lthe following is a full, clear, and exact description of the construction and operation of the same, reference being had to the annexed drawings making a part ofthis specification, in whicha is a rocking-chair.

The nature of my invention consists in providing any rooking-chair or cradle with a vibrating fan, by means of' an adjustable bow.
To enable others skilled in the art to make and use `my invention, I will proceed to describe its construction and operation.
First, I attach by screws to the back ofrocking- *chair or side of cradle a square staple, g, made with hole through it for pin, or with a set-screw, f, like the drawing.
The bow b, made of wood, brass, steel, or other ma- 'ferial suitable, I insert in the square slot or staple g. Then I attach the vibrating fan (l by means oi' hinge e to the adjustable bow b,the fan to, be made of' wood, paper, cloth, or other light material, with frame-work,

That I claim as my improvement in a device for giving motion to afan, is-
In the construction of the adjustable bow b, with its staple and thumb-screw g and f, in combination with fan d, connectingr hinge w, and chair a, as shown and described.
