` IMPROVEMENT IN BOSOMfPADS.

The Schedule referred te in these Letters Patent and making part of the same.

My invention consists in :i flexible p ad that. yields easily to the'shnpe of the. person andthe dress, and

`support-s the breast inV n .natural and agreenblmposition, the said pad being formed of t-w'e thicknesses ot' nmterinl united to each other by lines ot' stitchingr or otherwise to form pockets, into which are inserted small. bunches oi' bristles, so'thnt the pad is yielding, butis notntfected by perspiration, o1' in washing or ironing, and said bristles, or their eqnivnlents, keep'the pad distended under ordinary circumstances, but allow the pad to yield tothe person or the dress in a VI nnnner acceptable to the wearer und agreeable in appearance.

A narrow piece of covered skirt-wire or tape e may be applied et the inner side ofthe paid, to connect the corners ff, 1nd preventtheir sprending np-nrt by the pressure ot the dress.

The bremst-pads of corsets, and seperate breast-pads formed in the aforesaid manner, are iiexible, dum-ble, n-nd agreeable, und are not injured by either washing 0l' ll'll'lllg. l

What I claim as my invention is 4 rlhe brenst-pnd fbrmed with bunches or cords of bristles introduced in the pockets between the two `thicknesses nt' woven material, ns und for the purposes` specified. v
