A method for laser processing at which laser irradiation with alternating wave length is directed in the processing zone, the irradiation is focused by an optical system with chromatic aberration of focus location. For the purpose of increasing productivity, accuracy and decreasing energy consumption wave length change is performed by shortening, and for focusing irradiation the optical system with positive chromatic aberration of focus location is used. Shortening wave length is carried out with a speed corresponding to one of movement of spot of heating at geometric or structure changes in the processing zone.
