There is a well-known elastic sleeve-finger coupling (see the book V. O. Malashchenko, Drive couplings.

The main disadvantage of such a coupling is that it has a large range of individual parts.

The task of a useful model is to reduce the number of individual parts and simplify the technology of connecting shafts.

The solution is achieved by the fact that the first and second half-couplings are identical, made in the form of a hub with a flange on the end, two, four, six or more, an even number of holes, in half of which are axially symmetrically placed on the flange and at the same distance from the axis of rotation of the coupling and pressed fingers, and the protruding part of the fingers above the flange is lined with an elastic material, such as rubber, the protruding lined sections of the fingers of one half-coupling are inserted into the free holes of the second half-coupling and vice versa, the fingers of the second half-coupling are inserted into the free holes of the first half-coupling.

The proposed flexible finger coupling has a smaller number of parts and a simplified shaft connection technology.

The elastic finger coupling consists of identical first 1 and second 2 half-couplings. Semi-couplings 1 and 2 are made in the form of hub Z and flange 4. The elastic finger clutch is assembled as follows. Half-coupling 2 is attached to half-coupling 1, with fingers 5 axially symmetrically located and pressed into flange 4, the ends of which protrude above the end face of flange 4 of half-coupling 1 and lined with elastic material 6, such as rubber, so that fingers 5 of half-coupling 1 are placed in free holes on the end surface flange 4 of half-coupling 2, and fingers 5, the ends of which protrude above the end of flange 4 of half-coupling 2 and lined with elastic material b, for example rubber, are placed in free holes of flange 4 of half-coupling 1.

The elastic finger clutch works like this. The transmission of torque from half-coupling 1 to half-coupling 2 is carried out through fingers 5, the ends of which protrude above the end face of flanges 4 of half-couplings 1 and 2, lined with elastic material 6, for example rubber. Due to the deformation of the elastic material 6, such as rubber, the lined areas of the fingers 5, the torque is transmitted gently and the inaccuracies of the assembly of the shafts are compensated.

The proposed flexible finger coupling has a smaller number of parts and a simplified shaft connection technology.
