Abstract
Винахід стосується кондиціонування лігноцелюлозної біомаси як частини біохімічного процесу виробництва етанолу. Запропоновано спосіб відновлення цукрів С5 і С6 з лігноцелюлозної біомаси для ферментації в етанол. Процес включає традиційні операції попередньої обробки біомаси парою підвищеної температури і тиску, збір цукрів С5 після розщеплення геміцелюлози, гідроліз целюлози і збір цукрів С6 після розщеплення целюлози. Поліпшення включає кондиціювання біомаси до кроку попередньої обробки нагрівом біомаси парою протягом від 5 до 60 хвилин для досягнення обробленою парою біомасою температури біля 80-100 °С, і регулювання вмісту вологи у обробленій парою біомасі до 45-80 %. Регенерація цукрів С5 і С6 є підвищеною у порівнянні з традиційним процесом.
