Description
(a)多様なパルプ及び紙素材を容器に供給する;
(b) 素材を撹拌しながら蒸気を容器に導入する;
(c) 素材を撹拌しながら容器の中のガスを容器から排気する;
(d) 該当のガスを捕獲して、含有されるすべての揮発性の大気汚染物質を環境に無害なガスにするためガスを処理する;
(e)処理 容器がしっかり圧力を保持できる様、容器を密閉する;
(f) 素材の物理的、化学的構造を膨張させるために十分な温度と圧力の蒸気によって素材を飽和させます;
(g) さらに素材の物理的化学的膨張を促進するために容器を減圧する;
(h) 容器から処理された製品を排出する。
本発明のプロセスは、多様なパルプ及び紙素材、都市ゴミ、またはバイオ危険廃棄物から放出される、どのような揮発性の有機化合物(VOC)、大気汚染成分、どのような他の望ましくないガスを、管理された方法で処理容器から排気し、捕獲し、無害にするかという、環境上の意識の問題である。
(a)多様なパルプ及び紙素材(素材)を容器に供給する;
(b)容器がしっかり圧力を維持できる様、容器を密閉する;
(c)素材を撹拌しながら蒸気を容器に注入する;
(d) 約140℃から約160℃の範囲の温度で、また約275kPaから約450kPaの範囲の圧力の蒸気で飽和し、素材の物理的且つ化学的構造を膨張させる;
(e) さらに素材の物理的化学的膨張を促進するために容器を減圧する;
(f)上記の減圧中に放出されるガス中に存在するすべての揮発性有機化合物とすべての他の大気汚染物質を捕獲し、環境に無害なように処理する;
(g)容器から処理された製品を排出する;
前述のプロセスのように、このプロセスは、さらに、減圧工程に先がけてプロセス処理を行っている間いつでも、上述した同じ理由から、ガスを処理容器から排気する工程を踏むことが可能である。
技術援助マニュアル(米国医療廃棄物処理技術州法概観)に拠る、代替の医療廃棄物処理方法として推薦されるように、微生物的処理の効力は、レベルIV(殺菌)微生物不活性化基準を満足する事を実証した。

Claims (14)
- パルプや紙などを含む素材から均質なセルロース製品を生成する処理方法であって:
容器中に前記素材を供給する工程と;
前記素材を攪拌しながら蒸気を前記容器に注入する工程と;
前記素材を攪拌しながらガスを容器外に排気する工程と;
前記ガス中に含まれる揮発性有機化合物その他の空気汚染物質を無害ガス化するために前記ガスを捕獲し処理する工程と;
前記容器内の圧力が保持されるように前記容器を密閉する工程と;
前記素材を攪拌しながら前記素材の物理的化学的構造を膨張させるために十分な温度と圧力の蒸気で十分な時間にわたり前記素材を飽和させる工程と;
前記素材の物理的化学的構造の膨張を促進するために,前記容器を減圧する工程と;
前記減圧工程において排出されるガス中に含まれる揮発性有機化合物その他の空気汚染物質を無害ガス化するために前記ガスを捕獲し処理する工程と;
前記容器から処理済の素材である製品を排出する工程と;
から成ることを特徴とする,素材の処理方法。 - 前記製品中のセルロース質成分を,粒度および/または密度に基づいて,他の成分から分別および/または分離する工程を含むことを特徴とする,請求項1に記載の処理方法。
- 前記分別工程において分別された,所定の大きさ以上の前記セルロース質成分の製品については,再処理を行うことを特徴とする,請求項2に記載の処理方法。
- 前記飽和工程は,約140℃から約160℃の温度範囲かつ約275kPaから約450kPaの圧力範囲で行われることを特徴とする,請求項1に記載の処理方法。
- 前記飽和工程は,約30分から約60分の時間範囲で行われることを特徴とする,請求項4に記載の処理方法。
- 蒸気注入工程の前工程として,前記素材の湿分が約20重量%から約60重量%になるように湿分調整を行うことを特徴とする,請求項1に記載の処理方法。
- 前記減圧工程において,前記処理中の素材を冷却し,乾燥させ,容器から排出されるガスから揮発性有機化合物その他の空気汚染物質を除去するとともに蒸気を凝縮してリサイクルする工程を含むことを特徴とする,請求項1に記載の処理方法。
- 揮発性有機化合物その他の空気汚染物質の除去は,熱酸化装置(サーマルオキシダイザー)および/または吸着式フィルターによって行われることを特徴とする,請求項1または7に記載の処理方法。
- 前記素材は,廃棄紙,都市ゴミ,医療機関や研究所からの廃棄物を含むバイオ危険廃棄物から成る群から選択される1または2以上の素材であることを特徴とする,請求項1に記載の処理方法。
- 処理された製品に含まれる鋭利断片を無害化するための破砕工程を含むことを特徴とする,請求項1に記載の処理方法。
- 処理された製品を殺菌処理する工程を含むことを特徴とする,請求項1に記載の処理方法。
