Abstract
A method for the purification of waste water from meat-processing factories involves purification from mechanical admixtures, separation of mechanical fats, flotation with correlation of medium alkalinity to 7.1–7.8 pH units, reactant purification, filtration, aerobic treatment, agitation of suspension formed, further settling thereof for at least 10 minutes and separation of ferric hydroxide flocs formed. At the flotation stage a mixture of iron (III) and (II) chlorides and cationic flocculant based on polyacrylamide is added to coagulant solution, and at the stage of reactant purification sodium chloride is added to off-flows till obtaining concentration thereof in solution of 3,000–4,000 mg/dm3.
