Изобретение относится к стойкому к гербицидам растению подсолнуха, содержащему определенные мутации в двух разных аллелях гена большой субъединицы синтазы ацетогидроксикислоты 1 (AHASL1) подсолнуха, которые обеспечивают стойкость к гербициду, к способам получения такого растения подсолнуха и к способам борьбы с сорняками возле растений подсолнуха, которые включают применение гербицидов, ингибирующих синтазу ацетогидроксикислот, для обработки указанного растения подсолнуха. Изобретение также относится к способам определения генотипа растения подсолнуха для гена AHASL1.
