Description
本發明主張2007年9月10日提申、名稱為「具傳導性的單絲及織物」、申請案號為US60/993,158的美國臨時案,以及2007年6月7日提申、名稱為「導電性單絲及織物」、申請案號為US60/993,548的美國臨時案,該等臨時案之揭露在此一併列入參考。
本發明是關於一種導電性的紗以及靜電消散織物結構,特別是指一種可有效地消散靜電荷同時具有令人滿意之物理性質的紗及織物。
迄今為止,導電性織物對於例如靜電的消散是有用的,其係混合著帶有大量例如黑炭或金屬微粒之導電材料的單絲,典型地,這些導電材料被分散在一聚合物基體內,例如聚對苯二甲二乙酯(polyethylene terephthalate)及聚醯胺(polyamide),或混合在沉積於取向單絲(oriented monofilament)的聚合物塗層中。
關於前述的習知的方法有幾個限制,首先,承載的單絲的導電性只在10-4
~10-7
S/cm的範圍內,其僅僅是靜電荷有效消散的最小需求,不幸地,此缺點限制了織物設計的選擇性,並且亦削弱了織物的性能,第二個缺點是,在完全
填充的產品中,有一個單絲物理性質的妥協,例如模數、韌性及伸長量,此係由於肇始於混合等級大於百分之二十之導電性填充物的高度汙染。此物理性質的損失再次限制織物設計的選擇性,並且負面地衝擊織物的性能。
其他的習知導電性織物混合導電性塗層、金屬線結構或結合設計混合金屬纖維在合成纖維結構中,然而,缺點依然存在於這些織物,例如,這些習知設計或許可消散靜電,需注意這些帶有金屬線的結構是難以被製造的,再一個缺點是,金屬基的織物較容易損壞,尤其在使用過程中產生無用的凹陷與褶皺,在另一方面,習知技術上塗層的設計缺乏耐久性,且塗層會不合意地減少開放網狀結構(open mesh structure)的滲透性。
因此,本發明的一個主要目的,在於提供用以使用在工業織物的紗,工業織物例如使用在無塵紙、熔噴、紡粘產品的工程織物以及用在造紙及其他工業織物係需要或被渴望消散靜電的乾燥機織物,且其避免前述的問題。
本發明的另一目的,在於提供靜電消散紗,其用於例如油井纜線、高動力傳輸線的電纜線結構,作為接地媒介以避免纜線建構中電荷增加,此外,其具有免除造成設備損害、嚴重傷害及/或毀滅的能力。
本發明的再另一目的,在於提供用於由不同熱塑性單絲構成之編織套筒結構的靜電消散紗,以保護、接地及電
磁波干擾屏蔽成束的多用途電纜,在充氣部、在航太應用,例如航空器控制、照明、娛樂以及在汽車應用。
本發明的再另一個目的,在於提供用以使用在編織及/或紡織織物之用於無塵室應用的靜電消散紗。
此及其他目的與優點係藉由本發明提供,就這一點而言,本發明係直接朝向一耐用、高導電性的聚合物單絲或合股單絲使用在織物結構,有利地,本發明涉及使用功能性單絲或合股單絲具有一包括金屬微粒與一黏結劑之塗層或薄膜的特定導電材料。在一個實施例中,單絲包括一個或多個該塗層或薄膜主要地位於內的縱向溝槽,當紗或單絲磨耗,該導電材料維持在溝槽內而免於受磨耗,因此,織物具有靜電消散特性先前只能在金屬基的織物獲得,然而其亦具有可比擬傳統工業織物物理及化學性質,因此,本發明的織物結構與金屬織物設計相關的抗凹陷及褶皺,更提供較佳的靜電消散力,然而,此靜電消散品質建立在塗層厚度、使用的塗層材料的導電性等級、塗層在結構中的區域(表面或內部等等)、單絲的格子空間以及數個其他因素,其已列入本發明的考慮之中。

本發明的一個較佳實施例將以工程織物(engineered fabrics)描述,例如織物是被使用在於無塵(airlaid)、熔噴及/或紡粘過程中製造不織織品,其中成型於織物的不織產品的釋放是藉由靜電增強之消除而改善,然而,需被注意的是,本發明也應用在其他的工業織物,例如被使用在造紙的乾燥機織物(dryer fabrics),以及其他被使用在任何需要靜電電子消散之「乾燥」應用的織物,例如經由織物媒介。也由於導電材料也是良好的導熱體,其他需要導熱性的應用也是可能的。在一些例子中,即時的導電性或靜電消散紗可被使用的場合為電纜線的結構,例如油井纜線、高動力傳輸線、作為接地媒介以避免電子電荷於纜線結構中增加,且其亦具有免除造成設備損壞、嚴重傷害及/或毀壞的能力。再另一個例子是使用在由不同熱塑性單絲構成之編織套筒(braided sleeves)的結構,以保護、接地及電磁波干擾(EMI)屏蔽成束的多用途電線,在充氣部(plenums)、在航太應用,例如航空器控制、照明、娛樂以及在汽車應用。再另一個對即時靜電消散紗的使用是在用於無塵室應用的針織及/或編織織物。織物的結構可以包括編織、縱向(MD)
紗排列或橫向(CD)紗排列、針織織物、螺旋(spiral)連結總成、薄膜或薄膜類結構、擠出網(extruded mesh)以及前述結構材料的螺旋捲繞帶,需被注意的是,工業織物相當地大而且通常在一個非常惡劣的環境,這些織物可包含單絲、合股單絲(plied monofilament)、複絲或合股複絲人造紗,以及可為單層、多層、多層編織或層壓(laminated)。
現在轉談更特定至圖式,如第1圖(截面圖)所示,本發明提供的織物包含一含有導電性材質12的功能性單絲或紗10,如此,單僅有導電材料本身可能會缺少強度以成型入載重的單絲10中,本發明在一較佳實施例中,將這些導電材料12主要地混合入位在單絲10之長度方向的溝槽14中,較佳地,織物混合單絲10具有靜電消散的特性在先前只能在金屬基的織物獲得,但擁有的物理性質等效於傳統的工業織物,再者,含有這些單絲10的織物抵抗凹痕與皺摺迄今為止是與金屬單絲織物有關。
尤其,本發明將導電材料12混合在黏結劑,該材料的使用較佳為導電油墨或可取得的黏結劑,例如,來自於工程導電材料、LLC、43015俄亥俄州德拉威132強森行車路線的工程材料系統公司,此公司提供許多導電油墨及黏結劑,一種特別有用的黏結劑是使用銀微粒及黏結劑的導電油墨,此較佳的產品具有稱號為CI-1020,其他含有例如銅、鎳、鋅或其混合物之其他金屬的導電油墨也適用於此目的可達到此效果,黏結劑可以是環氧物(epoxy)、丙烯酸(acrylic)、偏二氯乙烯(vinylidene chloride)、前述該些的共

導電材料12沿著溝槽14但不需要完全填充,然而,導電材料12在溝槽14中必須是縱向地連續才能生效,第3圖示出一較佳實施例,其中,導電材料12是應用在單絲10以作為一塗層或薄膜,其方法包括例如浸泡或浴塗佈、噴灑、噴射或其他適用於此目的的方法,例如第4圖所示的模具塗佈應用方法可被使用,其中,在塗佈模具的內部環境幾乎與單絲的外部環境相同時,一導電材料12及黏結劑的控制量測發生而在單絲的表面,特別是在溝槽區域建立一層薄膜。
第4圖特別示出使用在此過程的導電塗層安裝的一個例子,其中,來自一供應筒子架18之未被塗佈的單絲通過一塗佈模具16,而供應自一導電塗層室22之一層導電材料12的塗層被同時塗佈於單絲上。測量是藉由塗佈模具16的尺寸控制,而此時位在單絲上的塗層10是在一使用熱氣風扇並且位在乾燥室中的控制加熱毯24中乾燥,此單絲10實質上是被吹至一輸出包裝箱(圖未示)上,需注意的是,雖然實質上圓形溝槽的單絲是較佳的,但其他形狀是可以被想像的,例如平面(如矩形)、六角形或其他非圓形。當然,這些形狀的單絲具有一個或多個溝槽可供塗層設置是較佳的。
在形成有溝槽之單絲的態樣中,導電材料與黏結劑均勻地塗佈於溝槽14,其提供導電塗層或薄膜在溝槽中14的一個連續途徑,一個或更多溝槽可被使用,第1圖僅顯示三
個溝槽的態樣。
注意在模具的應用過程,模具尺寸是視單絲的尺寸而定,其好處在於可降低塗層的重量以及由於需要的材料量減少而降低成本,由於導電材料設置在單絲可能發生磨損之磨耗表面的下方,因此溝槽14具有保護導電材料12的附加益處,在其他的應用中,塗層可在外表面。
結論是,一具有導電性的單絲等效於透過耐用的黏結劑、收縮抵抗、薄、低價以及具保護性的導電塗層所達成的金屬紗。該單絲可被依據使用端的需求而單獨使用或可被合股(plied)或扭轉(twisted)以形成一合股單絲結構。第2圖在橫跨機器的方向示出一具有該單絲10的織物20,依據本發明的一個實施例。
注意在混合這些單絲在織物中時,其不需要包含使用所有的紗,而可以是只有該些單絲的一部份製成該織物,其可被使用在機器方向及/或橫跨機器的方向,並且針對消散靜電的應用需要編織成任何圖案。
在第3b圖示出之實施例,係提供以導電材料12塗佈一形成有溝槽的單絲10,有益地,此增加單絲的導電性,同時維持單絲的物理及功能特性,此導電材料12沿著外圍以及至少在溝槽的邊緣內粘結至單絲的表面,此形成溝槽的紗設置用以保護導電材料12,甚至在單絲10受摩擦時亦防禦及保護導電材料12,此導電材料12的保護位置減少時間累積下導電性的損失,塗層較單絲本身有較少的耐磨耗性。
注意單絲可以是任何適於此目的的材料製成,包括例
如聚酯(polyester)、聚醯胺(polyamide)或其他該技術領域已知的聚合物(polymers)。亦需被注意的是,導電材料被預期具有接近或等效於金屬紗的導電性,在其維持所需的導電性(靜電消散力)下可被重複地屈曲(flex)以及對於例如聚酯(polyester)、尼龍(nylon)、聚苯硫化物(PPS)、聚醚醚酮(PEEK)等聚合物有非常好的附著性。

Claims (19)
- 一種靜電消散織物,包含多數聚合物單絲,其中,該等單絲包括內含有金屬微粒的導電材料以及一黏結劑併入作為其上之一塗層或薄膜,該等單絲具有靜電消散的特性,其中,該等單絲包括一個或多個該導電材料及黏結劑係以連續的塗層或薄膜位在其中的縱向溝槽。

- 依據申請專利範圍第10項所述之單絲,其中,該織物為單一或多層、多層編織或層壓。
- 一種工程織物,包含: 多數聚合物單絲,其中,該等單絲包括一導電材料及一黏結劑;其中,該導電材料係被施加作為含有具靜電消散特性之金屬微粒的一塗層,其中該等單絲包括一個或多個該導電材料及黏結劑係以連續的塗層或薄膜位在其中的縱向溝槽。
