546621 五、發明說明α) 本發明係關於電漿顯示面板定址和驅動方法。 JP10-171399(日立)記載共平面型電漿面板,包括: 一後瓷磚,設有第一行列電極; 一前瓷磚,與後瓷磚平行,設有第二行列成對電極 ,與第一行列電極正交,各對電極在其間留有放電空間, 位於第一行列電極與第二行列成對電極交會處。 此種電漿顯示面板之定址和驅動,一般包括如下步 驟:
一在要作動的各交會區作動放電,利用在後瓷磚電 極和在此區交會的前竟碑一電幾間施以至少一位址電壓脈 波; 一在此區再作動一連串放電,利用在前瓷磚的同樣 電極與此同樣瓷碑的成對電極間,施以一連串的持續電壓 脈波。 按照此法,位址放電在充填放電氣體,把瓷磚分開的 空間内,基本上垂直於瓷磚延伸;相對地,持續放電是沿 前瓷碑基本上平行於瓷碑延伸。
按照習知方法,持續脈波的瞬時頻率一般約1 0 0至3 0 0 仟赫,決定面板的光度;若成對的二電極相對於位址電極 始終為正或零電位,則持續脈波稱為「正」,相反地,若 此電位輪流正、負(同一對的電極之持續信號則偏差半相) ,則稱為「負」或「偶極」。 位址脈波可以組合在一起成為列組,也是很接近在一 起。
