495750 五、發明說明(i) 本明乃關於特別適合作一次寫入多次讀出(WORM)用途之 相位改變記錄媒體。 近年來已漸增光學記錄之使用,以發表,分配,儲存及 檢復數位資訊,此係以聚焦一雷射波束,在通常成為一旋 轉碟形式之光學記錄媒體上寫入及/或讀取資訊達成之使 用僅ΐ買記憶Is ( R 0 Μ )格式時’貢訊係在工廠中以編碼之小 符號預製于該碟上,並用雷射波束回讀該資訊,用可寫入 之格式時,則使用雷射波束經由各種實體記錄機構以產生 小而編碼之記號。此許可使用者得以記錄其本人之貧料于 該碟上,若干記錄實體機構係可逆轉者,所記錄之符號可 消除及可重複再製。使用此種構構之磁碟稱為可抹除或可 再寫入碟。若干此等實體機構乃係單向,各符號一經製 妥,不能逆轉或改變,且不留下可探測之明晰可辨別痕 跡。使用此等機構之磁碟稱為WORM碟,每一此種磁碟乃適 合作若干實際之應用。 本發明集中於WORM磁碟。近年來此種可記錄之精密磁碟 (CD-R),即WORM碟之普遍使用,暗示對WORM碟之需求極 強。此種格式係適合許多用途,其中資料被儲存于此種格 式中時乃不可能對内容作任何修正,且不留下容易探測之 痕跡。此種格式亦適于作其中不需要例如供發表及分配用 之再寫入可能性之許多應用,在此等用途中,WORM碟乃吾 人所想望者,設若該碟能以較之可重寫更低之代價供應。 許多實體機.構已用於WORM記錄,第一種實用WORM碟利用 奪格記錄(ablative recording)其中乃使用脈衝式雷射波

五、發明說明(6) 體之有溝紋表面,使用相同組合物之目的物作為薄膜設在 該基體上之溝紋乃用以于記錄期間及回放過程中引導雷f 波束一含有組合物(ZnS)0.9 (Si02)之35 nm介質層係於其 後喷射沉積于該相位改變層上,繼此層之後則為Al-2% Cr 合金製之100 nm反射物層。然後將5 /zm厚之UV聚合物層施 加于Al-2% Cr層之表面。 其次進行該磁碟之初步工作/,使用20 直徑之氬(Ar) 雷射波束掃描該碟之表面,以使相位改變層在該碟之大部 份表面上結晶化。
