Abstract

A drive shaft is mainly devised with at least one universal joint between the driving apparatus and the driven apparatus. Its feature is that at least one of the universal joints has the construction, called broad angle joint, as below. There are one flange yoke with a central opening ,which is allocated between the driving yoke and the driven yoke in axial direction, and one ring groove which is extended radially in direction perpendicular to the central opening. There is one guider with oil nipple devised at the flange yoke and flown to the central opening, ball bushes slidablly devised on the driving yoke and the driven yoke, one central hub freely movable in the central opening of the flange yoke, and one hub flange extended in radial direction of the central hub and slidable in the ring groove of the flange yoke. Thrust washers are assemblied between the side planes of the hub flange of the guider and the walls of the ring groove of the flange yoke. O-rings are allocated at the walls of the ring groove facing axially each other at the central opening of the flange yoke. And there are several oil paths devised in the guider going radially from the circumference of the hub flange thru upto the inner of the central hub.
