Abstract

The present invention provides a surface-protective film that can be used even for an optical film having an uneven surface, and for which there is little contamination of the adherend and for which the low contamination property of the adherend does not change over time, and which has excellent peeling antistatic performance that does not deteriorate over time, and an optical component using the same. In accordance with the present invention, in a surface-protective film 10 in which an adhesive layer 2 is formed on one surface of a base film 1 including a transparent resin and a peeling film 5 having a release agent layer 4 is attached on the adhesive layer 2, the peeling film 5 has the release agent layer 4 containing a release agent having a long-chain alkyl group-containing resin as the main component and an antistatic agent that does not react with the release agent laminated on one surface of a resin film 3, a component of the antistatic agent is transferred to a surface of the adhesive layer 2 from the peeling film 5, and the peeling charge pressure is reduced when the adhesive layer 2 is peeled from the adherend.
