İplik makinesi çekim ünitesinde (1) ön manşon (9) istenilen şekilde elyaf kontrolünü sağlamak amacıyla yeniden şekillendirilmiştir. Ön manşon (9) üzerine belirli bir genişlik ve derinliğe sahip kanal (91) açılmaktadır. Kanal (91), istenilen miktarda elyafı kontrol edip şevkini sağlamak amacıyla, manşon (9) üzerinde ön çekim silindirine (4) paralel, çekim sisteminde yer alan elyaf ve iplik akış yönü ile 90^ açı yapacak şekilde veya elyaf yolu üzerinde, manşonun eni boyunca boydan boya açılmaktadır.
