Küçük, hafif ve güç konversiyonu bakimindan son derece randimanli olan sviçlemeli güç kaynagi devresi izolasyonlu konverter transformatörü ihtiva eder ve bu da bosluk içermeyen göbek/çekirdek ve sargilar arasindaki müsterek indüktansin ilave mod sergiledigi ve göbege/çekirdege sarilan primer ve sekonder sargilarindan tesekkül eder. Bir yarim dalga rektifayer devresi devrenin sekonder tarafinda bulunur ve sekonder taraf DC çikis voltajinin elde edilmesi için ilave modda rektifikasyon operasyonunu ifa eder. Sekonder taraf çikis voltajinin stabilze edilmesi için sabit voltaj kontrol devre sisteminde, sviçleme elemaninin sviçleme frekansi primer taraf paralel rezonans devresinin rezonans impedansini ve sviçleme elmaninin devamlilik açisini kompozit bir sekilde kontroletmek üzere sekonder taraf çikis voltaj düzeyine cevaben degistirilir.
