Poliollerden ve poliizosiyanitlerden ve köpürme maddelerinden ve tercihen köpürme desteklerinden bir poliüretan sert köpüklü malzemeler üretme yöntemi olup, özelligi poliüretan sert köpüklü malzemenin bir poliol bileseninin, agirlikça %20 ila %48 bir NCO içerigine sahip bir organik ve/veya yenilenmis organik poliizosiyanit ile tepkimesinden olusmaktadir.
