Hem mafsal çivisi direksiyon mafsali üzerindeki silindir sekilli iç boslugun içine dönebilecek sekilde monte edilmistir ve en azindan bir ucu bitisik olarak takilan bir mafsal çivisi kapagi ile yerinde tutulur. Mafsal çivisi ile mafsal çivisi kapagi arasina bir kapali hücreli köpük yastik yerlestirilir. Bu yastik tercihen eksenel yönde sikistirilir ve bu sayede daha fazla sikisarak veya genisleyerek mafsal çivisi ile mafsal çivisi kapagi arasindaki boslugu hemen hemen veya tamamen doldurur.
