Изобретение относитс к черной ме таллургии, в частности к изготовлени катанки, используемой дл производст ва стальной проволоки. При изготовлении катанки на металлургических заводах, на ее поверх ности, после гор чей прокатки имеетс слой окалины, который необходимо удалить механическим путем или травлением перед холодньм волочением при изготовлении из нее проволоки. Известен способ,удалени окалины и предотвращени вторичного окислени проката в процессе его изготовлени , когда в ходе гор чей прокатки на его поверхность воздействуют хлористыми соединени ми кремни при 800-1200С D1. .Недостаток известного способа. заключаетс в том, что при изготовлении катанки не обеспечиваетс получение требуемой дл дальнейшего волочени микроструктуры вследствие Отсутстви регулируемого охлажде1Ш катанки после прокатки. Наиболее близким по технической сущности к предлагаемому вл етс способ обработки, включающей охлаждение от температуры конца прокатки водой до 550-850с и далее на воздухе 2. Недостаток этого способа заключаетс в том, что на поверхности катанки после такой обработки остаетс окалина, которую необходимо удал ть травлением или механическим путем перед холодньн волочением катанки при изготовлении из нее проволрки. Цель изобретени - удсшение окалины и предотвращение вторичного / окислени .
