Description
The invention relates to the field of metallurgy and is used to convert mattes. A method is known for processing metallized nickel-containing mattes into fayppeyn with an air supply blown in a shell of non-combustible and inert matte components, such as nitrogen, including free iron oxidation periods. and iron sulfide 1. A disadvantage of the known method is the increased wear of the refractory masonry of riofo tuyere sa converters during the processing of mattes in connection with the use of blowing, enriched th oxygen to 45-80%. The aim of the invention is to increase the turnaround time of the converter. This is due to the fact that 30-35% of the inert gas from the flow rate of air blowing is introduced during the period of oxidation of free iron, and 15-20% during the period of oxidation of iron sulfide. During the period of oxidation of free iron, the flow of air is blown in an inert and non-combustible gas in the shell with a flow rate of 30-35% of the air flow. The end of the period of oxidation of free iron is determined by calculation from the composition of the starting stent and / or from the composition of the exhaust gas. During the period of sulphide iron oxidation, the air blowing is produced in an inert and non-combustible gas shell with a flow rate of 15-20% of the air flow. The implementation of the proposed method with the introduction of inert gas with the gas flow rates indicated for each period reduces the speed of the lining of the tuyere processor converter lining, does not stop: the thermal balance of the process is destroyed and provides an increase in the overhaul of the unit. The supply of inert gas with a lower flow rate for each period will not ensure the absorption of excess heat in the active oxidation zone of the matte components located in the immediate vicinity of the masonry of the tuyere stock and will not reduce the rate of de-alignment. High flow of inert gas for each period will lead to cooling.
