The invention relates to the field of the separation of crushed wood material into fractions and may find application in the woodworking industry in the production of wood-based panels.

The disadvantage of this gravity separator is the lack of the possibility of qualitative and quantitative sorting of wood chips.

The closest to the technical essence and the achieved result is a device for separating bulk materials, including a housing with a vertically arranged separation chamber, inclined transfer shelves, loading and unloading devices 2.

The disadvantage of this device is the lack of quality separation of chopped wood into

fractions and its poor performance.

The purpose of the invention is to increase the quality of sorting wood chips.

This goal is achieved by the fact that one of the walls of the chamber is movable in a vertical direction and provided with a reflector, and on the other wall of the chamber inclined and free shelves are fixed with the help of hinges.

The device consists of a housing 1 with loading 2 and discharge 3 hatches. Boot locks 2 are made in the center of the housing 1 and are equipped with nozzles 4. The device works as follows.

The shredded / wood chips are continuously fed through nozzles 4 and loading hatches 2 into vortex chambers 16 of housing 1. A flow of air is directed into the housing 1 from below, which penetrates and weighs the chips.
