Description

The present invention is intended to eliminate gas leakage in coke ovens into the coking chamber from the fire channels and back by lining the vertical fire channels with a stuffed muffle of refractory mass.

When laying coke ovens, during laying out the walls 4 separating the coking chambers / from the vertical fire channels 2 and laying the partitions 5 separating the fire channels 2 from each other, the packing of the muffles 6 from the raw refractory mass is made parallel to the brickwork. The walls of the muffle 6, adjacent to the partitions 5 of the firing channels, fill the entire height of these swaths, and adjacent to the walls 4 separating the coking chambers / from the firing channels 2, are filled up to the arch under the firing channels 2 and thus close the seams of the walls 4, as well as the area of the horizontal channel 3.

Thus, the coking chambers 7 are separated from the fire channels 2, in addition to the brickwork 4, also by the muffle 6, from the refractory mass, i.e. completely devoid of seams, in order to create a complete tightness of the chamber / and eliminate the possibility of gas leakage through the joints from chamber 1 to fire channels 2 or vice versa, with all the undesirable consequences. It should be noted that the brickwork should, as usual, rely on all the existing load sites, but the cross section of the muffle should not be taken into account in these calculations.
