A known method for producing glass fiber is made by impregnating glass fiber with a phenol-formaldehyde resin. However, glass fiber obtained in this way after being in water or in a wet state has relatively low electrical insulation properties. The proposed method for producing fiberglass is based on the impregnation of glass fiber with phenol-formaldehyde resin modified with polyalumin-organosiloxanes. At the same time, glass fiber obtained on the basis of modified resin, while maintaining the basic physical and mechanical parameters, in the state has significantly higher electrical insulating properties than the material obtained on the basis of unmodified resin.
Polyaluminosiloxane, polyaluminophenylsiloxane, polyaluminodimethylsiloxane, polyaluminomethylphenylsiloxane and other aluminosiloxane derivatives can be used as polyaluminosiloxanesiloxanes, but the best results are obtained when using polyalumophenylsiloxane of the K-39 trademark. The optimum amount of polyaluminophenylsiloxane used to modify the resin is 10% by weight of the phenol formaldehyde resin.
The modification of the phenol-formaldehyde resin with polyaluminophenylsiloxane is carried out by combining alcoholic solutions of polymers with a subsequent weight of the mixture at 70-75 ° for 10 hours or directly during pressing of the impregnated glass fabric. The production of fiberglass with the use of modified phenol-formaldehyde resin is carried out in accordance with the existing technological regime while reducing the heat treatment time by half.
Example. 10% (based on the dry residue) K-39 polyaluminophenylsiloxane previously dissolved in alcohol is introduced into the VF varnish and the reaction mixture is adjusted to a specific weight of 0.965-0.975 (depending on the density of the glass fabric). Fiberglass impregnation is carried out on a shaft-type impregnating machine at a temperature of 95-120 ° and a speed of 1-2 M / MLIH. The resin content in the impregnated fabric should be 45-48% with a yield of 5-7%. Impregnated fabric is pressed at a temperature of 155-160 °, a specific pressure of 60-80 kg / cm and a dwell time of 5-7 minutes for every millimeter of sheet thickness. Comparative electrical insulating properties of fiberglass laminate obtained by the proposed and known method are presented in the table below:
