Abstract
с S (Л со о со to 01 о:The invention relates to the field of metallurgy, in particular to compositions of heat insulating mixtures used in casting steel into molds. The purpose of the invention is to improve the quality of the ingot surface, increase the yield of a suitable metal and reduce its cost. The goal is achieved by using a heat insulating mixture containing, in wt.%: Lignin 50-85; expanded perlite 15-85. Due to the small values of the volume mass of the mixture and its constant loosening during the casting process due to the release of volatiles during the thermal decomposition of lignin, high heat insulating properties of the mixture are provided, which contributes to an increase in the yield of the suitable metal. Improving the quality of the ingot surface is achieved due to the deposition of intensively formed black carbon on the mold walls during the thermal decomposition of lignin. 2 tab. with S (L with about with to 01 about:

The invention relates to metallurgy, in particular to compositions of heat insulating mixtures used in casting steel into molds,
The purpose of the invention is to improve the quality of the ingot surface, increase the yield of a suitable metal and reduce its cost.
In tab. 1 shows the composition of the proposed insulating mixture.
To prepare mixtures, lignin with a bulk bulk density of 450 kg / m and expanded perlite with a bulk mass of 100 kg / m are used. At the same time, the ingredients are well mixed, evenly distributed over the volume of the mixture, the latter is not prone to delamination during transportation as a result of good adhesion of lignin particles to pearlite grains.
Table 2 presents the properties and results of applying the compositions of the proposed mixtures in the manufacture of tubular steel ingots weighing 2 tons in through downwardly broadened molds,
годного металла при прокатке слитков .As follows from Table 2, the calorific value of the mixtures, combined with their low bulk mass and the creation of a fluidized bed of the mixture above the surface of the molten metal due to the release of volatile during thermal decomposition of lignin, provides ingots with an insignificant depth shrinkage of the shell, which contributes to increasing the yield of suitable metal when rolling ingots.
The enhanced lubricating properties of the proposed heat insulating mixture due to the deposition of intensively forming black carbon on the mold walls during the thermal decomposition of lignin, as well as the content of low-melting ash in the latter ensure a significant amount of ingots free of surface defects.
