Description

Дл  устранени  указанного недостатка предлагаетс  сообшать сварочному электроду совместно со сварочной головкой продольные колебани .A method is proposed for automatic electric arc welding of vertical and ceiling joints. Known methods of this kind do not ensure good formation of the weld, since the molten metal of the weld pool flows down. In order to eliminate this drawback, it is proposed to communicate longitudinal oscillations together with the welding head to the welding electrode.

In this case, there is an intermittent burning of the welding arc, as the arc gap moves forward when the electrode moves forward, when the electrode contacts the product. The transition of the molten metal from the electrode to the weld is facilitated by the contact of the end of the electrode with the weld pool. Welding can be performed under a layer of flux or electrodes with a suitable coating. The proposed method provides a good formation of the weld when welding at high currents, thus allowing to increase the productivity when welding vertical and ceiling joints. To create oscillations of the welding head and electrode, known mechanisms can be used, for example, a crank mechanism equipped with an electric drive.
