Abstract

A RAIL TRACK TIE The rail track tie (8) comprises: ò a rigid block (9) presenting a bottom face, and a top face for receiving at least one longitudinal rail (4); ò a cover (20) for receiving the rigid block (9) and in the form of a rigid shell comprising a bottom (48) and a peripheral rim (50) around the bottom (48); and ò a resilient soleplate (22) disposed between the bottom face of the rigid block (9) and the bottom (48) of the cover (20). The resilient soleplate (22) has dynamic stiffness k2 lying in the range 6 kN/mm to 10 kN/mm, and preferably in the range 6 kN/mm to 8 kN/mm.
