Abstract
A foaming or wetting agent is admixed in a quantity which remains constant in terms of percentage in a fire-fighting water flow, the through-flow range of which can fluctuate in the ratio of 1:7. The percentage setting can be selected in several ranges. The admixing device consists of a premixer pump (47). a bail valve (24) with non-return valve (23) for the foaming agent, and a control piston (32) which is controlled by way of a venturi tube (10) as a function of the through-flow of mixture. The stroke of the control piston (32) is linearly-proportional to the through-flow quantity of extinguishing agent through the venturi (10). <IMAGE>
